Cardinal – Transformation

Cardinal

Cardinal

Here we have another card where I don’t find the word association very intuitive. Cardinals do not molt or change their fiery feathers out like most birds do. They are bright red regardless of the season. The females are not as bright but do retain their red accents throughout the year.   They are gorgeous birds. I do think that all birds change as they grow up, so maybe there is a tenuous association.

Regardless of the word association choices the idea of transformation was apparent in my life yesterday.  Physically, I am trying to transform, changing bad habits for good. My house is transforming, my daughter pulled (or rather chiselled) up all of the old 1940s vinyl tile out of her bedroom. She also got it taped, spackled and ready for painting.  This room has needed work since we moved it. It’s happening now.  My yard has been transformed as the pumpkins try and take over. My relationship with my adult daughter is transforming and I am hoping that more of my living patterns will undergo an improvement transformation.

In some ways I think life is about transformation or change and that it will happen, does happen and you just can’t stop it, so why not work for it.
